Salmon Joint Support Meal

by geedelsales1 09 Dec 2025 0 comments

During the autumn and winter seasons, senior pets with joint issues require extra care. This salmon meal is rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, which help alleviate joint inflammation. The Geedel Vegetable Chopper can finely process cartilage to provide a natural source of glucosamine while ensuring all ingredients are cut into sizes suitable for pets.

Pet Nutrition Notes:

Salmon provides high-quality protein and Omega-3. Sweet potato is a good source of carbohydrates. Cauliflower is rich in vitamins. Salmon cartilage contains natural glucosamine, which is beneficial for joint health. Suitable for adult dogs with joint issues.

Ingredients:

150g salmon (with a small amount of cartilage, bones removed)

100g sweet potato

50g cauliflower

30g cooked quinoa

1 teaspoon fish oil (for pets)

¼ teaspoon turmeric powder (anti-inflammatory)

500ml water

Instructions:

1. Prepare the fish:

Thoroughly steam the salmon to ensure all bones are removed. Retain the cartilage, as it is beneficial for your pet’s joints. Flake the fish meat and set aside.

2. Prepare the vegetables:

Peel and cube the sweet potato, then steam until soft. Using the hand vegetable chopper with the dicing blade, place the cooled sweet potato cubes into the container and press 4–5 times until finely diced.

Steam the cauliflower, then place it in the container and chop into small pieces using the same food chopper.

3. Process the cartilage:

Remove the salmon cartilage separately. Using the vegetable chopper with the dicing blade, place the cartilage into the container and press firmly 5–6 times until finely minced. The powerful design of this slap chopper food chopper can handle cartilage-like ingredients.

4. Combine all ingredients:

In a large bowl, mix the flaked salmon, diced sweet potato, chopped cauliflower, minced cartilage, cooked quinoa, fish oil, and turmeric powder until well combined. Gradually add a small amount of water until the desired consistency is reached.

5. Portioning suggestion:

Portion according to your pet’s weight. This recipe yields approximately one meal for an 8kg dog. You can shape the mixture into small balls for easier feeding.

Important Notes:

Ensure all bones are completely removed from the salmon to prevent choking hazards.

When introducing turmeric powder for the first time, start with a very small amount.

Use fish oil specifically formulated for pets.

Recommended as a supplemental meal 1–2 times per week.
