Festive Christmas Veggie Tree Platter: Perfect Plating & Kid-Friendly Fun

Christmas appetizers need to impress guests and be easy to make—no one wants to spend an hour cutting veggies into "ornaments." This platter uses the Geedel chopper with dicing blade for Christmas veggie platters to solve two big problems: lopsided veggie strips that ruin your presentation, and kids begging to help (but being too young for sharp knives).

Ingredients (Serves 6-8):

2 cups broccoli florets (for the tree base)

1 cup cherry tomatoes (red "ornaments")

1 yellow bell pepper (for "garland lights")

1 red bell pepper (small "ornaments")

1 cup baby carrots (for the tree trunk)

1 cucumber

1 cup hummus (for dipping) 

2 tbsp fresh parsley (for "snow")

Step-by-Step (Geedel's Holiday-Specific Moves):

1. Prep "Decorations" (No More Lopsided Strips!)

Yellow Bell Pepper Garland: Grab your Geedel vegetable chopper for kid-friendly Christmas prep—attach the 5mm thin-slicing blade. Cut the bell pepper in half, remove the seeds, and drop one half into the chopper. Press down once—out come straight, uniform 5mm strips (perfect for wrapping around broccoli "branches"). Kids can help hold the pepper while you press (the lid has a safety lock—it won't activate unless fully closed, so no risk of little fingers getting caught!).

Cherry Tomato Ornaments: Keep the same blade—drop 5-6 cherry tomatoes into the chopper (don't overfill!). Press gently (too much force squishes the juice out!)—they split into neat halves (no more squeezing tomatoes by hand!). -Cucumber Snowflakes: Peel the cucumber and slice it into ½-inch rounds. . All prepped veggies go into the chopper's container—you can even let kids sort them into "garland" and "ornament" piles (turning prep into a game!).

2. Assemble the Tree (10 Minutes Max!)

Arrange the broccoli florets in a triangle shape on a platter (this forms the "tree"). Tuck the Geedel-cut yellow bell pepper strips between the florets (their straight edges make the garland look neat!). Dot the tree with cherry tomato halves and red bell pepper cubes. Use baby carrots to create the "tree trunk" at the base.

3. Serve & Clean Up (Fast for Hosting!)

Spoon hummus into a small bowl at the base of the tree, then sprinkle Geedel-chopped parsley ("snow") over the veggies—guests will comment on how "professionally" styled the platter looks! When you're done, twist the blade off the chopper, rinse it under running water for 3 seconds (no stuck veggie bits!), and toss the container in the dishwasher.
