Cajun Sausage and Shrimp Pasta
A vibrant pasta dish that combines the spiciness of Cajun sausage, the sweetness of fresh shrimp, and the bright colors of bell peppers, all coated in a rich, creamy sauce. Using your Geedel hand vegetable chopper, you can quickly dice the "holy trinity" of vegetables (onion, bell peppers, celery) and easily emulsify the sauce, allowing this flavor-packed dish to be on the table in 30 minutes.
Ingredients:
400g pasta (such as fettuccine)
300g Andouille or smoked sausage, sliced
300g shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 onion
1 green bell pepper
1 red bell pepper
1 celery stalk
3 garlic cloves
1 cup light cream
½ cup chicken broth
2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
Salt and black pepper
Handful of fresh parsley
Lemon wedges
Instructions:
1. Chop the vegetables:
Cut all vegetables into chunks. Install the chopping blade in your Geedel manual food chopper, close the lid tightly, and turn the handle continuously until uniformly diced.

2. Cook the proteins and vegetables:
In a large skillet, cook the sausage slices until browned and slightly crispy. Remove and set aside. In the same skillet, quickly sear the shrimp until just pink on both sides. Remove and set aside.
In the remaining oil, sauté the diced vegetables and garlic until softened.
3. Make the creamy sauce:
In the food chopper container (using the mixing paddle), combine the Cajun seasoning, light cream, and chicken broth. Turn the handle until well mixed.
Pour this mixture into the skillet with the vegetables and simmer over low heat until the sauce slightly thickens.
4. Combine and serve:
Return the cooked pasta, sausage, and shrimp to the skillet. Toss everything together until well coated in the sauce and heated through for about one minute.
Plate the pasta, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve with lemon wedges.
Summary:
This pasta is an excellent choice for a quick yet bold-flavored dinner. The Geedel manual food chopper efficiently handles a variety of vegetables, ensuring even cooking and an appealing presentation, while its mixing function makes seasoning and emulsifying the creamy sauce effortless—bringing complex flavors within easy reach.
